A one-day course designed to support water companies’ flushing procedures.
Content
Mains flushing is carried out to monitor flows, clear pipework prior to disinfection, test quality and for many other purposes. Flushing rates need to be understood and all flushing operations need to be done in accordance with laid down procedures designed to reduce risk and waste of water. The modules include:
- Assessing flow rates for given situations
- The affect of internal deposits on flow rates
- Safe disposal
- Hazards and risk assessments
- ractical exercises (where possible)
Assessment and Certification
If required, assessments can be included subject to prior approval of the client. |
