Duration and Venue

A one day course usually delivered at a purpose built training centre in North London. Training can be delivered on site but practical exercises may need to be adapted to site conditions.

Content

The course is based on tracing techniques using Radiodetection or C.Scope equipment. Direct connection and Induction techniques are taught for location of metallic services. Non-metallic tracing techniques can be included if required. Assessment is by multi-choice question paper and observed exercises. The modules include:

  1. Pre-use checks on equipment
  2. Reading plans and schematic drawings
  3. Tracing underground apparatus using equipment in a variety of modes.
  4. Identifying damaged apparatus and deciding course of action required.

Assessment and Certification

Assessment is by means of question and answer and observation of practical work. Additional assessments can be designed if required. Successful candidates will receive a Red Kite Resolutions Certificate detailing Content.
